Performances & Events
In January 2012, Jennifer Dennehy founded Lake Effect Hoop Troop. It began as a place for local hoopers in Erie, PA to come together and create choreographed dances and to explore structured improv within the hoop. Jennifer envisioned a group who collaborated and worked together to increase each individuals skill level and to teach our community about the value of its performing artists, specifically its dancers. As a result, the community in Erie, PA and the surrounding region have embraced LEHT and have hired them for hoop dance and fire performances at numerous events including 2012 Governor’s Arts Awards, SouthSide Works Exposed, Discover Presque Isle, Splash Lagoon, Celebrate Erie, Emma's Footprints, Erie Zoo and the Warner Theater. Lake Effect Hoop Troop over the years has transformed into Jennifer Dennehy & Fire Friends since there is more interest in fire performances.

Fire Performance

Fire Performances available to provide that something special at your event. All fire performers are fully insured. We provide fully trained fire safety personnel to accompany the fire performers to ensure safety. Fire performances available with hoop, staff, fans and dragon staff.
Prices begin at $700.

We are available to perform and/or teach at any party including: birthday, wedding, bridal shower, and holidays. Birthday Parties include one hand made hoop for the special persons birthday, customized to their favorite colors.
Pricing for parties begins at $350. Add hoop making to any party package @ $20/person with an 8 person minimum.

Cyr Wheel

The cyr wheel is an acrobatic apparatus that consists of a single large metal ring. We can help you to provide a special experience for your event goers with a performance in this unique and magical apparatus. We have the only Cyr wheel performer in Erie and one of te only Cyr wheel performers in the tri-state region. A flat large surface is required.

Interested in Jennifer Dennehy & Fire Friends?
We are always interested in expanding to include more hoop dancers and fire performers in our performances. The requirements include carrying your own fire performance insurance, being reliable and having your own props and costumes.
